About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of With Zihao, the online Chinese lesson service taught by Zihao. By booking a lesson, creating an account, or making a payment, you agree to these terms.
Lessons are delivered online via Google Meet. Zihao is based in Barcelona, Spain, and teaches students worldwide.
Trial lesson
The trial is a 25-minute private lesson that costs €9.99. It is a one-time, non-refundable payment.
The trial is not credited toward any plan, package or future lesson, and cannot be exchanged for cash. It grants exactly one trial lesson and must be booked within 30 days of payment.
Trial is strictly one per student. A student who has already purchased a fulfilled trial cannot purchase another trial through the normal flow.
4-week subscription plans
With Zihao offers three recurring plans that renew automatically every 4 weeks: Regular (€100, 4 lesson credits), Semi-Intensive (€190, 8 lesson credits), and Intensive (€270, 12 lesson credits).
Because billing follows a 4-week cycle, the payment amount and the number of lesson credits are the same in every period. Unused credits may roll over according to the rollover caps in our Lesson Policies (Regular: 0, Semi-Intensive: 1, Intensive: 2) and must be used in the following 4-week period.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current 4-week billing period, after which no further payments are taken. Subscriptions are managed through the Stripe customer portal.
Flexible lesson packages
Flexible packages are one-time purchases that do not renew automatically: Flexible First (€110, 4 credits), Flexible Flow (€200, 8 credits), and Flexible Further (€290, 12 credits).
All lessons in a flexible package must be used within 12 months of the purchase date. Unused lessons expire after this period and cannot be extended unless Zihao explicitly agrees otherwise.
Booking, cancellation & rescheduling
Lessons are booked individually from available time slots. You must cancel or request a reschedule at least 12 hours before the lesson.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 12 hours before the lesson count as a used lesson, as do no-shows. All rescheduling remains subject to Zihao’s availability.
Bookings are protected against double-booking using Google Calendar free/busy information. A confirmed lesson generates a Google Meet link.
Full details are in our Lesson Policies.
Teacher cancellation
If Zihao cancels a scheduled lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled or added as a lesson credit. You will not lose a lesson because of a teacher cancellation.
Payments & subscriptions
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full card number. For subscriptions, Stripe provides a customer portal where you can update your payment method, view invoices, and cancel.
If a subscription payment fails, your subscription may enter a past-due state. You can update your payment method and retry through the customer portal to restore your subscription.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when booking and may not share account access in a way that circumvents the one-trial-per-student rule or lesson-credit limits.
We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached or if an account is used fraudulently.
Service availability
With Zihao is provided on an “as available” basis. While we aim for reliable scheduling and video calls, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access and are not liable for outages caused by third-party services such as Google Meet, Stripe, or internet connectivity.
Lessons are subject to Zihao’s availability, and posted time slots may change.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service and our Lesson Policies from time to time. Continued use of With Zihao after a change means you accept the updated terms.
